WPCC Rotaract Leads 'Hope' Food Drive

03-05-2013 4:17pm

Western Piedmont's Hope for Hearts Food Drive brought in a total of 267 pounds of food that was given to the Burke United Christian Ministries (BUCM) Food Pantry.  Members and sponsors of WPCC's Rotaract Club helped to gather the food from collection bins across campus as well as those bins located at the Foothills Higher Education Center and the Richardson Complex.

Club members (l-r) Che Yang, Dakota Smith, Kasey Merck, Emily Smith, Elizabeth Wright, and Cody Hang  arranged the food for display in the lobby of Moore Hall and later packed it for pickup by the BUCM in mid-February.

On hand for the food pick up were members of the Rotaract Club.

WPCC's Rotaract Club members extend their thanks to everyone who contributed and worked to make this a successful food drive!
