Since January 2006, all Nursing Assistant I and Nursing Assistant II courses have been administered by the WPCC Division of Health Sciences. Changes were made to the entrance requirements for Nursing Assistant.

Changes to the Nursing Assistant Entrance Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Ninth grade reading level score on the TABE test.

  • Current and valid certification in basic cardiac life support (CPR).

In addition to the above changes, all JCAHO accredited Clinical agencies now require a criminal background check for all Allied Health students prior to beginning the Clinical practicum.  The cost of the criminal background check is the student's responsibility.  Additional information regarding the criminal background check process is explained at the start of each nursing assistant course.
